Holt ADU - Los Angeles, CA

The Holt ADU garage conversion project took a small 1940’s garage (18’x18’, 332 SF) and transformed it into an appealing studio accessory dwelling unit.

Natural light is abundant via 10 linear feet of glass doors where the garage door used to be, a small operable window, a sun tunnel in the bathroom and a skylight over the kitchen area. The bathroom features a curbless shower design for easy access, glass shower enclosure and modern fixtures & finishes.

All amenities are provided in the small kitchen, including a refrigerator, stove/ oven and washer/ dryer. The exterior stucco was recoated, new trim was installed, and new windows & doors were selected to match the main house, marrying the aesthetics on the property for an overall comprehensive design.

Simple materials and an all glass shower enclosure make the compact bathroom feel clean and open.
